We Have Two Cabins: Mystic Hideaway and Sweet Dreams

Our overnight wood/log siding cabin rentals are family owned and hand-built by the owners. We furnish the cabins to give you all the modern conveniences of home while you are "roughing it" on Lookout Mountain. if you are planning on staying in the Mentone or Desoto Park area, there is not a better place to stay than in our cabins. Whether you are planning a small vacation, weekend get-a-way, a romantic weekend, or honeymoon, you will find our cabin just what you are looking for. Oh, and don't forget the hot tub!

Mentone is located in DeKalb County near Fort Payne, Alabama and on Lookout Mountain in Northeast Alabama. We are close to Desoto State Park and Little River Canyon.

Directions to Mystic Hideaway and Sweet Dreams

Directions to our cabins traveling I-59 north from Fort Payne, Gadsden, and Birmingham.

Traveling on I59 you will get off at the Hammondville Exit (EXIT 231 about 10 to 15 miles or so north of Fort Payne). You will turn right on AL 117 toward Hammondville and Valley Head. Stay on AL 117 and go through both towns and start up Lookout Mountain toward Mentone. About half way up the mountain (at the Mentone city limit sign) you will turn a sharp right onto Tutwiler Gap. It is a small winding road that takes you up to the top of the mountain. ( 1 mile) You will come to an intersection at the top of the mountain. Yield to the RIGHT on County Road 89 toward Desoto State Park. You will travel 3.0 miles and there will be a small road on your left. DeKalb County 600. Travel 1/4 mile down the road. Mystic Hideaway will be on the right. Located at 250 Co. Rd 600 and Sweet Dreams is the next cabin located at 274 Co. Rd 600.

The cabins are only 2 miles from Desoto State Park.

Rates and Policy

Nightly Rates: Mystic Hideaway $121.50 per night plus 7% Lodging tax = $130 per night.

Credit card payment by phone, check or money order by mail in advance of stay.

A one night deposit required at the time of booking and the balance will be ran before arrival.

A two night minimum stay is required for weekend and holiday booking. One night stays okay during the week.

Cancellation Policy: 14 days (100% refund less a $25 cancellation Fee); 7 days (50% refund on deposit)
